New Growth: Kindling Hope
This is in some regards a painting of remembrance for those who went through the recent 2009 Victoria bushfires. In history we often find paintings recording disasters not for glorification but for other generations to come to acknowledge human endurance in hardship. I pray that this is how this painting is viewed with the new growth of the burnt trees kindling hope in those left to see it.
