There would be such an excitement to watch a dry river bed filling with water and although I've never seen it like this I couldn’t help but imagine the adrenalin rush and joy for people living in the dry arid desert watching an event like this take place. This painting is based on the Northern Territory River the Finke which is a seasonal river like this.
